Tippsy Sake, founded in 2018 by Genki Ito, is an online marketplace that connects American consumers with a curated collection of both well-known and boutique Japanese sake.

Tippsy Sake did a great job at establishing its online presence and new customer acquisition strategies leading to some impressive YOY growth numbers during COVID-19, however, the company needed guidance on how to implement strategies to circumvent and counteract the iOS14 updates that impacted the Facebook Ads platform.

The company is now operating a new customer acquisition strategy with performance achieving pre-iOS14 results and continues to expand its customer base, increase online sales, and scale online revenue.


While the company had done a great job establishing itself as a differentiated player in the Sake industry, it was one of many brands that were dramatically affected by the iOS14 updates.

The company had experienced a major increase in acquisition costs that resulted in a severe decrease in overall ROAS.

Because of this, the company partnered with Adspace to develop comprehensive strategies to decrease cost per acquisition, increase online conversions, and return the ROAS to pre-iOS14 results.

Our partnership began with an in-depth audit of the brand, its website, products, customer demographics, unique value proposition, and Facebook Ads account to understand as much about the brand and its previous advertising strategies as possible.

From there we developed a full funnel acquisition strategy on Facebook that focused on granular audience targeting, campaign consolidation, and server side tracking softwares that provided us with more accurate reporting and analytics.

We then took a more hands on approach to account management by making daily optimizations to ensure optimal budget allocation and the highest ROI possible.
